About Naomi

I'm a researcher, evaluator and professional development trainer with over 20 years’ experience supporting researchers in universities, research organisations and non-profits. My work is grounded in a commitment to evidence, inclusion and practical impact.

I understand the challenges researchers face so I specialise in delivering training that is accessible, relevant and transformative. My training combines clear frameworks, interactive delivery and practical tools that participants can use straight away.

During my time in academia, I published 40+ papers/chapters and three books (H-index 14 Scopus, 23 Google Scholar).

I founded Alt Ac Careers - Leaving Academia in 2020, a Career Support Group for 3000+ researchers.

I have been interviewed about researcher careers and AI in Nature, The Monitor on Psychology, BBC News, The Sunday Times and the Khaleej Times, as well as for podcasts.
